According to Livability.com, a website dedicated to researching communities all over the US to help people determine where to live, Salt Lake City hits all the right notes.  This is their third annual survey and it ranks over 2,000 cities with populations between 20K and 350K, with 40 data points to consider. Salt Lake was praised specifically for its entertainment value and gorgeous scenery.  The article said that Salt Lake is a “ well-planned community, is home to residents who are highly engaged with their city.” As well as mentioning that “Salt Lake City healthy business climate, including top industries such as health care, and outdoor recreation make the city a family favorite.”
